1.How long ago should I apply for visa?

  • Initially you must decide our school with the help of Abroad Time staff then you should make visa application for your overseas language study 4-6 weeks ago before your language program’s starting date. We strongly recommend you to apply for visa at least 8 weeks before, in order to make the arrangements and to ensure that your accommodation is close to the school.

2.Could I find a course appropriate to my level?

  • Our consultants could put you through a level assessment test on your demand.

3. Can I extend my visa if I enroll in a short-term program?

  • In advance, a student could extend his/her visa even if he/she is enrolled in a one-month course as long as he/she attended the school. However, according to the law passed in April 2007, students who enroll in short-term language school programs can not extend their visas in the UK. Only the students who enroll in programs for 6 months or longer may extend their visas and they have the right to work part-time during their education in England.

4.When could my visa application result in?

  • U.K; if you have been to England or any other European countries before, your visa application could result in 2 or 15 days. USA; as you contact directly with the consulate for the visa application it could be result in the same day.

5. Would I apply for the visa on my own?

  • Yes. You are to apply on your own and take your visa documents to the consulate.

6.Is there any age restrictions to enroll in the overseas language programs?

  • Age restriction is 16. However, some of the schools do not accept people under 18.

7.Is it possible to apply for the visa without receiving any language study in the mother country?

  • Yes, it is possible but this could cause some problems in application process. Receiving an English language study in your mother country at least at elementary level would enable to result your application in a positive way and also this would reduce your communication problems abroad.

8.How could I take working permit?

  • People with the student visa should enroll in a six-months language program or over to work part-time.

9. What is the difference between language training taken abroad and in my own country?

  • You will receive the same English grammar teaching throughout the world. However, learning English abroad helps you to improve your language skills especially speaking and pronounciation as you interact with the native people.

 

10. What is the minimum length for a program in order for me to work?

  • In order to go and work part-time, you have to register with a full-time language schools for 6 months and over.

11. How many students are there in a class?

  • The student number in a class is between 11 and 16.

12.Shall I receive a certificate at the end of the course?

  • You willl receive a certificate specifiying the duration of your language program and your level at the end of the course.

13. How and where is the accommodation arranged?

  • Accommodation alternatives depend on your preferences. We recommend the home stay programs as their economical and practical properties. We also have student residence and hotel accommodation options.

14. Is it necessary to pay all the accomodation fee of my study program?

  • You do not have to pay all the fee at one time. Arranging a short-term accomodation is better and If you are pleased with your accomodation you can easily extend it in U.K.

15. How and where is the accommodation arranged?

  • Accommodation depends on your preference. We recommend the home stay program for its economy and practice. We also have student residence and hotel accommodation options.

16. Do you do pick ups at the airports?

  • Yes, we do.

17. Do I have to pay for my accommodation in advance?

  • No, you don’t have to pay for your accommodation in advance. At first, you book for a short-term accommodation, and then, if you’re satisfied, you can extend your stay as you like.

18. How much is the overseas education consultancy fee?

  • As Abroad Time Overseas Education Consultants, we don’t take any payment for school registration, airport pick-up, accommodation arrangements, plane ticket reservations or visa applications.
